TOOL #1:Paradise Mind and Body's Hypnosis CDs

Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings provide you with opportunities to relax and focus on your heart's desire from a number of different perspectives in a number of different ways while feeling good (Paradise Mind). They invite you to imagine your desire "as if" it is already in existence and feel so good about it that you actually begin saying "thank you" "as if" it already exists. Listening to these recordings enables you to replace misaligned pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, feelings and habits with those that are in harmony with your desire, and be inspired to engage in actions that support whatever you have chosen to create. In time, your outer world will begin to match your inner "as if" experience. Step-by-step-by-step, your heart's desire will come into being.

When you're far away from your desire, it can be a stretch to shift your focus to what you want and feel good about it. That's why hypnosis is so important. Like training wheels for a bike, taking advantage of the hypnotic state makes thinking about what you want and feeling good about it very easy. Simply put, hypnosis allows you to communicate directly with your subconscious mind, relax into a relatively non-resistant state of wellbeing, and deliberately focus on your heart's desire.

TOOL # 2:Practicing Love and Appreciation

Treating Yourself Well

When you have been experiencing a particular undesired situation for some time, you may feel frustrated, angry, depressed or powerless about "what is". These feelings indicate that you are in resistance about "what is". Sometimes people feel so bad that they even beat up on themselves for not being in a different place. Self abuse serves no one.

I read the following in a little book many years ago. After taking the idea to heart, I found that it created a major shift in my life. Try saying it to yourself and see what happens for you.

   

“The only thing that gets better by being beaten is a rug.”

Aside from eggs, the only things that may get better by being beaten are rugs. Sometimes I give clients a mini rug or ask them to put an imaginary rug in their pockets. I suggest that any time they find that they are abusing themselves, they take out the rug and beat it instead. After a quick shake of the rug, I suggest that they use the shake as a cue to start loving and appreciating themselves.

This silly little process really works. It makes them smile and takes all of the sting out of the experience. They actually create the habit of treating themselves with love and respect.

If you really take this idea to heart, you'll notice any time you start to abuse yourself physically, emotionally, etc., you'll take out your rug, give it a shake, chuckle or smile and then start loving yourself more. You'll create the habit of treating yourself better.

 

Releasing Resistance by Practicing Love and Appreciation

There is a wonderful little book written and illustrated by some Zen Buddhists in the Bay Area called The Key and the Name of the Key is Willingness. Change is inevitable. The key to changing your life in a positive direction is willingness.

What is the opposite of willingness? Resistance.

“What you resist persists.”

Whatever you resist will remain in your life. It isn’t that things stay the same. Rather, you constantly re-create that which you resist. (It makes it seem like things are staying the same.) This is because resistance is a form of focus- negative focus but focus nonetheless. If you are having a particular experience and resist (focus on) it, that experience will remain in your life. If you want to change your experience, you must stop resisting “what is” and come to peace with your current situation.

At first, many people find this idea unpalatable. It seems to contradict logic. For example, how can you become rich if you accept your current (less than flush) experience? Where is the impetuous to move forward in a new way if you’re at peace with where you are?

Just as you release the parking brake before you drive your car, you must release your resistance around your current financial situation before you can move toward what you want. Releasing resistance or embracing “what is” fully engages your willingness to move forward.

The best method I’ve found for releasing resistance is “Practicing Love and Appreciation”. I never cease to be amazed at how such a simple thing has such a profound effect.

As a human being, love and appreciation are some of the most creative feeling states to which you have access. When you love and appreciate something, it comes to life. I firmly believe that everything begins with gratitude.

What if you were to begin to love and appreciate what you already have or have had? What if you made a ritual of this practice? What if you sat down each evening just before bed and just before going through your Golden Treasure Box and listening to your favorite Paradise Mind and Body hypnosis CD recording and made a list of all the things you appreciate about the what you already have the aligns with your heart's desire?

For example, what if you practiced love and appreciation about the money you already have? Even in the most awkward of financial situations, you can find something to love and appreciate. It may start out a little slow and rocky but just stick with it for a little while and it will get easier and easier. You will feel better and better as the resistance lifts.

Although it is most useful for you to develop your own list of things you appreciate about your finances, please feel free to use any of those provided below. Your list of appreciations might look something like this.

I am thankful for the roof over my head.

I am grateful for the wonderful meal that I had this evening. It was yummy.

I love being able to take a shower. Thank you, thank you, thank you for hot water.

I am grateful for the gas in my car. It gives me a sense of freedom.

I am thankful to have a job. I enjoy the people I work with.

I am grateful for the fact that I have always managed to make ends meet.

I am thankful that I have some money in my wallet.

I found a quarter in the dryer today. I love it when I find change in the dryer.

Etc.

Just start where you are and look for all of the things that you may appreciate about your finances- no matter how trivial they may seem. It really will get easier and easier and better and better. Keep going until you feel a shift.

I've become so enamored with the process of practicing love and appreciation that I use it all the time. Here's a trivial but telling example.

Not long ago, I was in a conference room and noticed a water spot on the wall. It triggered a thought like "that's ugly- how tacky"and a corresponding feeling that shifted me out of wellbeing into a slightly irritated feeling state. I noticed that I also began to become irritated with the speaker, the temperature of the air, the stuffiness of the room, etc.

Instead of staying there, I decided to love and appreciate all that I could about that wall. It went like something like this.

"That is an ugly water spot on the wall. But look at that wallpaper. Wow, I didn't notice that before. It is beautiful. It reminds me of that amazing movie I saw last week about the Renaissance. That paper really looks rich and elegant. The colors are incredible- subtle yet deep and harmonious. There's even an overlaying stripe. And look at that molding. What gorgeous molding. Etc."

My feeling state went from irritated back into wellbeing. Thoughts of the spot all but vanished. My whole perception of the speaker, the air quality, and the room also shifted. Just like that! It really works.

The trivial nature of this example illustrates an important point. If at any time you find any of the experiments, processes or tools offered are just a little too difficult for you to practice on your most heart-felt desire, pick something trivial to work with instead. Sometimes it is easier to practice on simple things (like a water spot on the wall) first and build your skills. Just like you probably learned to read picture books before novels, you may easily learn and become adept at the art of deliberately loving and appreciating by focusing on something simple first.

If you are so inclined, prove to yourself how practicing love and appreciation of something can shift your feeling state around that topic. Run a little experiment and see if Practicing Love and Appreciation about what you want makes you feel better. See if what I am suggesting is true for you.

The Love and Appreciation Experiment

You can run this experiment any time you choose and have 2-10 minutes to focus on whatever topic feels appropriate to you. It is particularly useful to engage in this process when you feel irritated, powerless or even venomous about something.

1. Pick a topic to love and appreciate- someone, some thing, or some place. (Yes, you can and would be greatly benefited by choosing a topic, say prosperity, that feels challenging to you in this moment. However, many people benefit by first picking something easy and then building up to a topic that is more challenging. You decide what works for you.)

2. Notice how you feel about whatever you have chosen to love and appreciate.

3. Now just begin to notice what you love and appreciate about that topic. Write it down if it feels good to you.

4. Notice all of the things that you love and appreciate about that topic.

5. Keep going.

6. Keep going.

7. Keep going.

8. Notice that it gets easier and easier to find something to appreciate about that topic. Notice also that the love and appreciation you feel for that topic begins to extend to other things.

9. Now, notice how you feel about the original topic.

10. If you so desire, continue the practice for a number of days or weeks or whatever works for you.

11. Notice how your perception of and your interaction with that topic changes for the better.

How did it work for you?

 

It may start out a little rocky or feel a little forced at first but over time, it will get better and better and better and easier and easier and easier.

Sometimes people are afraid to love and appreciate what they have for fear of maintaining it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since what you resist PERSISTS, it is valuable for you to make peace with what is. Making peace is the only way for you to move forward. Since what you focus on FLOURISHES, the positive focus of love and appreciation allows whatever you place your attention on to grow and expand or be enhanced for the better.

 

 
TOOL #3: Pictures

Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will help you to create new pictures and images that support your heart's desire.

In further support, you may create your own collection of pictures in any way you choose that feels good to you. In today's media driven world, there is an amazing supply of images and ideas to choose from!

You may draw pictures, cut out photographs from magazines, download and print images from the web (many may be used for non-commercial purposes), or create images that inspire you in any other way that feels good to you. Make a collage, a work of art or put them in your golden treasure box.

Enjoy the process of gathering images. Here are some other ideas to make the process more enjoyable.

Have a picture party!

Gather with a group of friends and have a little party with scissors and a stack of old magazines.

Make a screen saver!

Take a poster board, cover it with images and your favorite juicy words, photograph it (digitally) and turn it into a screen saver for your computer.

Have fun!

When clients want to release weight and take our "Create the Body of Your Dreams" program, we speed their process using digital imagery. When they begin, we take a photograph of their body (Observation 1) and then digitally alter it in the direction of their heart's desire by trimming off 10-15 lbs (Desire 1). We then have them place the digitally morphed image on their refrigerator or on a mirror. After a time, we take a new photograph (Observation 2).

You would be amazed at how quickly they tend to physically shift toward Desire 1. That's right, their body changes to match the image they have held in mind. (Observation 2 becomes Desire 1. ) Actually, they often look better than the digitally altered photo due to change in the quality (more muscle and tone, less fat) as well as the quantity of flesh on their frame.

The process is repeated until they incrementally reach a point where they feel content. Since each step is gradual and can be obtained rather easily in a reasonable amount of time, the images are totally believable and inspire them without creating any resistance.

It really works and it it is so fun to observe your body, dream your next body, alter the observation (photo), allow time to pass and then observe that your body has become the desired/digitally altered image. You can create this same sort of time lapse creation for other topics as well. For example, if your heart's desire is prosperity, create a series of faux bank statements with every increasing balances. Use your imagination and have fun!

TOOL #5: THOUGHTS

Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will help you to create new and improved thoughts about your heart's desire.

In further support, you can create your own thoughts about your heart's desire in any way that feels good to you. You may speak of your desire (to yourself or another supportive person), create a story about it, write about it in a letter, describe it in your journal or on pages that are placed in your golden treasure box, create affirmations that support it, etc.

Affirmations are one of the most useful ways to alter your thoughts and deliberately input thoughts that align with your heart's desire. Affirmations are simply positive statements about your desire that often begin with the words "I am".

For example, if you desire prosperity, start with a positive "I am ..." statement that feels good to you. If you state an affirmation and find yourself feeling tense, resistant and gritting your teeth, back off a bit. It is far more useful to choose a thought that feels good and incrementally work your way up to a more expansive affirmation than it is to push against resistance. A simple starting affirmation (no matter how you feel about money today) might look like this:

"I am in love with the idea of being prosperous."

As you listen to Prosperity and Financial Freedom and work the tools, you'll create and feel good about more expansive affirmations. In time, your affirmations might look like the one below.

"I am wealthy beyond measure."

TOOL #6:Beliefs
  Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right. - Henry Ford

Beliefs are nothing more than thoughts that you think over and over again. Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will help you to create the beliefs you want about your heart's desire. In addition, the thoughts that you have deliberately begun to think over and over again (AKA beliefs) about your heart's desire will form the basis of your new belief system.

In further support, you may make a list of the beliefs you'd like to hold about your heart's desire. You can then try the Belief Extension Process outlined below.

The Belief Extension Process

1. Make a list of the beliefs that you'd like to have about your heart's desire.

2. When you can be apart from the outer world for a few minutes, pick one belief to focus upon.

3. Close your eyes, relax and allow yourself to imagine what your life would look like if the belief you've chosen were actually true. In other words, imagine life "as if" the belief you'd like to hold were actually true.

4. Allow your mind to fully flesh out the details of your experience assuming that the selected belief is true.

5. Now open your eyes.

6. Whenever you can safely close your eyes and be apart from the outer world, re-imagine this experience.

Note, this process may enable you to develop an awareness of gaps between what you'd like to believe and what you actually believe. Just developing this awareness will go a long way toward shifting any outmoded beliefs with those that you desire. The rest of the shift will occur with time and focus.

For example, let's say you'd like to hold the belief "There is more than enough to go around." when it comes to money. After your close your eyes and relax, you might envision scenes like seeing money coming easily into your life. You might imagine seeing examples of prosperity everywhere you look. You might even imagine dollars multiplying such that every time you open your wallet you find more money than ever before.

TOOL #7:Experiences

While listening to Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings, you will have new inner world experiences that are consistent with your heart's desire and make it seem "as if" it is already in existence.

It is a great idea to have outer world experiences that support your heart's desire as well. Make a list of the outer world experiences that you'd like to have in support of your desire. In order to maximize the probability that you'll actually engage in the experience, it is best to choose experiences that are readily accessible and involve a minimum of time and expense. Use your free time to enjoy these experiences. And yes, you can even have imaginary supportive experiences.

Many years ago, I knew a minister who had a strong desire to experience prosperity. In support of her desire, she brought to mind all of the things that represented prosperity to her. Since she was raised in the 50's, she associated mink coats with prosperity.

One fine Saturday afternoon, she dressed in her best clothes, set off to the local furrier and tried on a number of full length mink coats. As she admired herself in the mirror, she imagined that she was trying on all the coats in her closet in an effort to decide which one (from her own closet) she might wear that evening. Needless to say, through the use of this simple tool as well as others, she became a millionaire before the year was out.

Although furs may be an inappropriate choice in today's world, the essence of the example is quite valuable and would prove useful if taken to heart. For example, let's say you'd like to experience prosperity and you equate fine jewelry (rather than furs) with financial abundance. You might choose to get dressed up, go out to a fine jewelry store and try on some really beautiful, high-end jewelry. You might imagine that you'd just removed whatever piece you've chosen to try on from the safe behind the picture by your bed in an effort to determine if it would look good with the gown or other attire you'd chosen for that evening.

Try it, you'll like it. It's fun!

Since you have created new and improved feelings around your heart's desire, you will be inspired to create new patterns of action (habits). After all, feelings are emotions. Since emotion is "energy in motion", it will provide you with all of the inspiration you need to act in accord with your desire on a habitual basis.

In further support, you may make a list of old habits you'd like to replace or new habits that you'd like to adopt or create. Once your inner mind has come into alignment with your heart's desire and you are inspired to take action, you may begin to naturally engage in the activities that form the basis of your new desired habits and replace those old habits happily and easily. Engaging in these activities on a repeated and regular basis will turn them into new habits- healthy habits that support your heart's desire.

For example, if you desire prosperity and have cringed every time you have written a check for a bill, once inspired, you might choose to create a new habit around paying bills. You might choose to dress up, put on some soothing music, serve yourself your favorite non-alcoholic beverage, sit down at a table and slowly write out checks using your best penmanship. You might then pick up the bill or invoice, bless it, support it with the check, place them both in an envelope, and stamp the envelope (perhaps with a stamp that conveys your gratitude for the services rendered or products provided that created the bill). Before you head to the mailbox or post office, you might hold each envelope in your hand and offer a heart-felt word of thanks for having the opportunity to purchase the product or experience offered, and then send the envelope merrily on its way with a light heart.

The Feeling Linkage Process

1. Make a list of the feelings you'd like to have about your heart's desire.

2. When you can be apart from the outer world for a new minutes, pick one feeling to focus upon.

3. Close your eyes, relax and allow yourself to imagine or remember an image or experience that evokes the feeling you have selected. Your previous experience of that feeling does not have to be associated with your heart's desire. Simply find a time when you experienced that feeling and play it up by re-imagining the original experience.

4. Allow yourself to expand the vision. Add detail or select another image or experience to increase the intensity of the feeling you have selected.

5. Stay focused on the feeling until you actually experience it very clearly.

6. Now gradually bring your heart's desire into the picture.

7. Blanket or infuse your heart's desire with the feeling you have brought forth.

8. In your mind's eye, allow the feeling and the desire to become linked and merge into one. Sit with this for a short time.

9. Now open your eyes.

10. Whenever you feel prompted and can safely do so, close your eyes for a moment and re-imagine this experience of your heart's desire enveloped, infused and/or merged with the feeling that you have chosen.

For example, let's say your heart's desire is prosperity and financial freedom. The list of the feelings that you'd like to have about money might include "comfortable". When you have a few minutes and can be free of the outer world, you could close your eyes, begin to relax and start to focus on the feeling "comfortable". You might imagine lying in bed with a soft fluffy pillow, sitting on a beach with warm sunlight on your skin and a cool breeze in your hair, being embraced by a loved one or anything else that evokes the feeling of comfortable. You could continue until you really got in touch with the feeling "comfortable". At that point, you might allow an image that represents your heart's desire about money (e.g. an image of your desired bank account balance) to enter the picture. In your mind's eye, you could blanket your bank balance with "comfort". You could link "comfortable" with money. You could create the feeling "comfortable" about money.

Although I have used this process for a long time, the Abraham materials (see Thank You) demonstrate this technique better than any other source I have seen. Their examples have helped me to develop a whole new level of mastery and comfort with this method. For this, I am eternally grateful.

Once you have made peace with where you are by Practicing Love and Appreciation, you will begin to move toward what you want. Since you will create the habit of linking good feelings to that which you desire, any time you experience misalignment, you will notice it! You will feel yucky.

Yucky feelings are nothing more than signals that you're out of tune with your desire. Think of "negative or bad feelings" as a red flags waving in front of you, signaling you to shift your thoughts to create better feelings about what you want. They really aren't bad, they're simply signals designed to let you know where you are such that you may recognize misalignment and choose to come back into alignment.

Whenever you notice a thought or a feeling that is out of whack and doesn't feel good, stop for a moment and talk yourself back into harmony.

For example, if you notice a bad feeling in your gut and trace it back to the the thought "I can't pay next month's rent", stop for a moment and begin talking to yourself for a few minutes in a manner that allows you to re-align your consciousness in a better way. You might say things like this.

I know I don't have enough money to pay next month's rent right now but things have worked out for me before and I know that somehow they'll work out now too.

I'm a resourceful person.

Somehow, money seems to flow into my life.

Things tend to work out for me.

When I think about money, the idea of prosperity makes me feel good.

I love the idea of financial abundance.

Wouldn't it be nice to be incredibly prosperous?

I love that idea.

It feels light and free and that makes me feel good.

Just thinking in this way makes me feel better.

Somehow, the idea of being prosperous feels possible to me now.

I think I'll focus on having what I want and enjoy the feeling of living with abundance.

That's a yummy idea- an abundance of funds.

That feels really good to me.

Etc.

If you are so inclined, go ahead and try talking yourself back into harmony about money.

The Talking Yourself Back Into Harmony Experiment

1. Notice where you are with respect to money in this particular moment.

2. Starting wherever you are, make a statement that reflects the essence of thought and feelings you have right now about your topic of interest.

3. Now simply begin to talk to yourself in such a way that you expand and uplift your focus on that topic just enough to feel a little better. The first step may seem awkward but just utter words that feel slightly better than the ones of the original statement.

4. Continue to talk to yourself about your topic of interest. Ensure that the statements you make are believable to you and that each statement feels at least as good as and perhaps even better than the last. Many people find that using non-resistant language like "I love the idea of...", "What if...", "Wouldn't it be nice if..." and /or "I wonder if..." really helps.

5. Gently and gradually talk yourself up and ratchet up your feeling state until you feel better.

6. How do you feel now on that topic now?

How did it work for you?

 

Don't be discouraged if you find it hard to find the words the first few times. Like anything else, it just takes practice and like anything new, it may feel a little awkward at first. Just keep going. It will get easier and easier and better and better.

 

 
TOOL #12:Celebrating Your Heart's Desire

Many years ago, I attended the University of Santa Monica and completed their Master's Program in Spiritual Psychology. Celebrating Your Hear's Desire is a variant of one of the many incredible processes they offer. It is also related to a process called "Beating the Drum" suggested by the Abraham materials (see Thank You).

Before celebrating, it is important to decide who will be present for your celebratory offering. It is most beneficial to share your dream come true with those who are enthusiastic and will love and support you no matter what. If you can't identify anyone who fits that description (members of your circle of trust), you can do it all by yourself.

Once you have identified your heart's desire and have decided who will be in your circle of trust, it is incredibly useful to talk about your desire "as if" it had already come to pass. In your mind's eye, you can fast forward to the end result you desire and describe it just as you'd like it to be. It helps to find your well of inspiration and speak with enthusiasm using highly rich sensory language. It's great if you talk with your hands or even get your whole body into the experience. Keep it up for as long as it feels good to you.

For example, let's say I want to create a new kind of school for children. Celebrating my desire (talking about it "as if" it was already in existence) might go like this:

Celebrating Our New School

It is such fun to throw open the doors and welcome the kids each morning. I love seeing the looks of eager anticipation on each child's face as they dance into the room and find a comfortable spot in the beautiful building that feels like home. Sounds of laughter and fun fill the air. Even the wood of the chairs seems to sing and come to life. As the light streams in through the windows, I can't help but notice how the light within each of these magnificent beings brightens the room. The sense of color and life from each child magnifies the joy and wonder that permeates the room. We begin the day by having each child set an intention for how they'd like the day to unfold. They begin by focusing and feeling good about their next adventure for the day. Etc.

 

 
TOOL #13: Your Golden Treasure Box

A golden treasure box or golden book features prominently in a number of the Paradise Mind and Body CD hypnosis recordings. This concept is not new. Variants of this concept have been used by many others and have been called many things ranging from a "God Jar" (Julia Cameron- author of The Artist's Way) to a "Creation Box" (Abraham, see Thank you).

A golden treasure box is simply a repository for all of the things that represent your heart's desire. Many of my clients make one by obtaining a large box and covering it with gold metallic paper or golden cloth. (Gold gift boxes work well too and they are readily available in fine department stores for a nominal fee.)

You can fill your golden treasure box with pictures, words, affirmations, "artifacts" (e.g. a ring that represents marriage to you if you'd like to get married) or anything else that represents your heart's desire. With the power of your intention, you can even add ideas or thoughts. It is totally up to you.

For example, your golden treasure box for prosperity might contain items like pictures of yachts, fine homes, incredible cars, and/or exquisite jewelry, faux bank statements showing large amounts of money in both checking and savings accounts, a faux print out showing a highly valuable stock portfolio, a check register filled out with the balance you'd like to have, lots of money (yes, monopoly money or even those wonderful $1,000,000 bill bookmarks are fine), faux diamonds, etc.

Most people experience the greatest creative power early in the morning and/or just before sleep. The night time period just before sleep can be particularly useful as you tend to dream about whatever you were focused on just before sleep. (You may be different so trust your own guidance if it differs from what I propose.)

It is very useful to go through your golden treasure box at those times of the day. A wonderful "just before sleep" ritual is to first use Practicing Love and Appreciation and then then go through your golden treasure box just before listening to the Paradise Mind and Body CD hypnosis recording that supports the creation of your heart's desire.

 

 
TOOL #14:Patchwork Creating

Sometimes you may want to create something that you have never seen or experienced before. At times this may be something truly "out of this world". At other times, it may simply be something that could be part of this world but not yet observed by you.

Patchwork creating is a great tool for dealing with the latter.

For example, let's say that you want to create your dream partner. You have a list of the qualities that you'd like him or her to have but have never actually met (observed) anyone that comes close to what you envision. As a result, part of you doesn't believe that such a person exists. (By the way, with more than 6 billion people on the planet, surely there's at least one that's just right for you.)

Not to worry! Just as a beautiful, whole and complete quilt may be created by patchworking together many bits and pieces of cloth, you may create your dream partner using the same strategy. Since each of the individual pieces are known and believable, the final creation will also be known and believable.

Sample Patchwork Creating (Dream Partner)

1. Identify and make a list of the qualities or attributes you'd like your dream partner to possess.

2. State your desire. "I'd like a partner with the following qualities and attributes- intelligent, physically fit and attractive, financially abundant, etc."

3. Now focus on each of the qualities or attributes one at a time and think of one or more people that you know that embody that particular quality or attribute. You can pick anyone- someone you've dated, someone you barely know, a friend, a movie star, a character from a book (real or imagined), someone who is no longer living or even someone of the "wrong sex" based on your ultimately desired creation. The important point is to choose someone who embodies a particular quality and then imagine your dream partner "as if" he or she already had that quality.

For example, "I'd like a partner who is as financially savvy as Warren Buffet." Focus on all of the wonderful ways that Warren exemplifies fiscal intelligence to you.

4. Repeat the same process with each of the qualities or attributes you'd like in your partner.

5. Now begin to notice and play up those qualities and attributes you desire when you witness them in your day to day life.

If you go on a date and it turns out to be not quite "it" or even a dud, focus on the things that align with your desire. Based on the Law of Attraction, there will be at least one thing. Play it up! You'll get more of that. Combined with your other patchworking activities, you will attract what you want.

 

 
TOOL #15: Creation Catalyst

What if you just can't get there from here? What if every time you focus on a particular topic, all the wind goes out of your sails and you feel resistance and something other than "positive feelings"? In other words, you just can't seem to get over the hump.

Whenever you want to move from one feeling state to another higher feeling state, there is an energy of activation or a slight energetic barrier that must be overcome in order to move up. However, once you make one upward move, each subsequent shift will be easier.

But what if you just can't seem to make the first move?

Much as a chemist uses a catalyst to lower the activation energy required to move to a higher energy state, you may use to a catalyst to make the transition to a higher state a whole lot easier. Try the Creation Catalyst Process outlined below.

Creation Catalyst

To catalyze movement in an upward direction, use a creation catalyst. Focus on something, anything, that makes you feel good. No matter what, there is something you can draw upon that feels good. For example, I call forth the experience of holding my children. The thought of holding them in my arms always makes me feel good no matter what.

Then use the energy derived from that experience and the good feelings that ensue as inspiration to help you get over the hump on whatever topic is presenting challenge.

If you are so moved, try the Creation Catalyst Process outlined below.

The Creation Catalyst Process

Note: Please skip this process if you are allergic to flowers.

Have someone read this to you or read it first and then try it.

1. Notice how you feel.

2. Gently close your eyes and focus on something (it can be anything) that you love. Let's use flowers as an example.

3. Begin to imagine what you love- say a beautiful rose. Make it any color, size or shape that you choose. Now add more roses to the picture- as many as you like in any color, size, shape or form that feels good to you. Add a vase that is any size, made of any material and looks any way that you choose. Lean into the buds and notice how the rose(s) smell. Enjoy the fragrance fully and completely. Touch one of the petals. Notice how soft and delicate they are. Notice how it reminds you of the softness of a baby's skin.

4. Continue adding as much sensory detail to the scene as you can. If you find your mind beginning to drift, bring forth another scene of flowers or something that gives you the same or a similar feeling and flesh it out in as much detail as possible.

5. Now shift your focus to your heart's desire. Allow it to be bathed in good feelings.

6. Open your eyes and notice how you feel now.

You've held a positive focus on roses (a sweet topic) for more than one minute and all thoughts and ideas that follow will naturally be of a more positive nature.

Now when you turn your attention toward your heart's desire, you will feel differently. You will notice that you have a very different perspective than you did before engaging in this exercise. You'll feel better and will most likely be inspired to use one of the tools.

Once so inspired, using one of the tools- listening to a Paradise Mind and Body Hypnosis CD recording, Practicing Love and Appreciation, Talking Yourself Back Into Harmony, Celebrating Your Heart's Desire or playing with your Golden Treasure Box will probably be quite easy. All you need to do is take the first step. Each subsequent step will be easier and easier and easier.
