* Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Creating the Golf Game of Your Dreams
Everyone has a dream- something they'd like to be, do or have with respect to their golf game. Whether you know it or not, you are the creator of your own reality. You may create anything that your mind can conceive.
What do you want to create?
When it comes to golf, what do you want to create? Find out by asking yourself, "What do I want?".
Do you want to create a better overall game?
Would you love to drive longer, straighter and with more control?
Do you want to pitch or chip better?
Would you like to putt like a pro?
The Creative Process in a Nutshell
I. Decide.
Decide what you want. Pick one thing that you want to create.
II. Step 2: Listen, focus and feel good "as if" your desire had already manifested in your life.
Listen to the Paradise Mind and Body golf recording that supports whatever you have chosen to create.
While deeply relaxed, you will have the opportunity to focus on your desire, experience it "as if" it already exists, and feel good about it. You will create the inner experience of playing the golf of your dreams.
In further support, you will create a whole new repertoire of pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, actions, habits and/or feelings that are fully aligned with the game you desire.
Your inner experience will inspire you to actions that will help bring the golf of your dreams to life.
Once you become aligned, your outer experience will begin to match your inner experience. In time, the golf game of your dreams will manifest in the world of form.
Quickly and easily create the golf of your dreams using hypnosis and the power of your mind.
You can't have a heart's desire without the means to fulfill it. - Emmet Fox
How can you create your dream game?
In your mind, imagine "as if" you already play your dream game by seeing, feeling and experiencing life "as if" it has already come into being. At the same time, enjoy the experience and and feel good. Hold a positive focus on the golf game of your dreams.
Why?
Creating the Old Way Doesn't Work
Many of you were raised with the idea that creation occurs from the outside-in by a process of do, have and be.
Do- do a lot of things and work really, really hard.
Have- to have what you want.
Be- and then you will be happy.
Many try to undue a bad day on the course by going to the range and hitting balls until they are blue in the face without first changing their inner experience of the game. This method requires a lot of effort, isn't all that fun and doesn't really work.
I am not knocking practice, I am simply suggesting that there is another piece of the puzzle that is of paramount importance.
What if there were a new and improved way to create the golf of your dreams? What if it worked really well, felt good, was fun and made life even more enjoyable?
Guess what, there is! It's creation from the inside-out by the process of be, do, have using Paradise Mind.
Creation occurs from the inside out by the process of be, do and have. (For a flash slide show on creation, please visit How to Create.)Come into harmony with your dream game. Have the inner experience of the golf game of your dreams "as if" you already play it.Take inspired actions that support the creation of your dream game.Have the outer world experience of your dream game.
Action versus "As If"
You create your dream game with the inner "as if" feel good experience and the pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, and feelings that you hold about the game of your dreams. In this way, you come into alignment with your dream game and are inspired to act in ways that support its creation.
If instead of aligning first, you try and willfully create your desire through action, you will meet with some, albeit temporary, success. You can temporarily shift the way your outer world looks through action. However, since you are not aligned with your dream game, you are working against resistance and your efforts will probably feel quite difficult. (Action feels like struggle when it comes from a place of resistance.) In time and as your willpower diminishes, your outer world will revert to its former state.
Since your inner (subconscious) mind is far more powerful than your outer (conscious) mind will ever be, there is not enough action or willpower in the universe to permanently override an internal "as if" experience or pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences and feelings that are out of tune with your dream game.
The Secret is Paradise Mind
Creating from the inside out by the process of be, do and have begins with imagining your dream game "as if" it is already in existence. Pretending that what you desire is already true makes you feel good. When you focus on a thought and feel good about it, creation occurs very rapidly. I call this combined focus and good feeling experience Paradise Mind.
Paradise Mind is a highly creative, highly connected, good feeling state that is created by focusing on a thought that feels good.
All creations begin with a thought. Thoughts evoke feelings. When thoughts evoke good feelings, you are in harmony with them and deeply connected to who you really are. You are in Paradise. When you experience Paradise Mind about the game of your dreams, your dream game manifests in the world of form.
How does this work?
When you think about what you desire, your mind focuses upon that topic. When this point of focus is combined with a feeling, it becomes activated. You begin to have the inner experience of that feeling amplified thought. It is "as if" it has already occurred. Since your inner mind does not know the difference between real and imagined experiences, you will attract experiences that align with your desire (what your inner mind believes to be true) and you will be inspired to act in ways that support your desire. Since creation occurs from the inside out, your outer reality will begin to shift to mirror your inner reality. In time, you will have the outer experience (manifestation) of the original feeling amplified thought.
The speed of manifestation is related to how you feel, on the whole, about that topic. The better you feel (the more aligned you are) with regard to a particular topic, the faster it will manifest.
Good feelings or positive emotions allow that focus of pure thought to become real. It's just like the story of The Velveteen Rabbit. Love (a good feeling) brought a stuffed, toy rabbit to life. In essence, positive emotions bring thoughts to life.
Good Feelings are Highly Creative
Why are good feelings so creative?
There are really only two kinds of feelings- ones that feel good and ones that feel bad (or maybe somewhat neutral). Although we give these feelings or emotions many names, all of them fit into one of two categories. Feelings based on love and trust and feelings based on fear and doubt.
Feelings based on fear and doubt (powerlessness, depression, anger, etc.) don't feel good. Feelings based on love and trust (empowerment, joy, appreciation, etc.) feel good.
Good feelings arise when you are connected to the biggest and best of who you really are. When you feel good, you are connected to superconscious mind (Source, God, infinite mind, etc.) via a virtual superhighway of neural networks and that ever elusive seat of consciousness.
If this good feeling connection was represented by a hose and the essence that is transmitted as water, you would be connected to a fire hose gushing millions of gallons of sweet, delicious water each moment.
Bad feelings arise when your connection has been impeded. When you go from feeling good to feeling angry or hopeless, it is as if the fire hose has become a skinny little tube with lots of holes in it.
Feeling good is an indicator that you are in alignment with your source- whatever you call it (God, superconscious mind, infinite intelligence, the Universe, energy, etc.).
Good feelings are highly creative. They are empowering and uplifting and inspire you to act. In short, good feelings are good (or God as I have mistyped many, many times in the course of creating this site). Good feelings are the energizing force that bring your creations to life.
Inspired Actions
Inspired actions are taken from a stance of non-resistance. They feel effortless and enjoyable.
Using Paradise Mind, all actions are inspired and you may create with a minimum of effort in record time. There is simply no resistance. No effort is wasted. Nothing is done from a place of "should"or obligation.
So, why not allow all of your actions be inspired?
Creating Feels Good From Start to Finish
Since you envision your desired result "as if" it were already in physical existence (already done), creating feels good from the time you first catch a glimpse of your heart's desire until whatever you focus upon manifests in the world of form. You experience Paradise from start to finish.
Experience a Taste of Paradise Mind
You may get an inkling of Paradise Mind by trying a little experiment.
The Paradise Mind Experiment
1. Take stock of how you feel in this moment. What word would you use to describe how you feel right now?
2. Now close your eyes and imagine being in your favorite place- a beach, a forest, a garden or somewhere else that you love and really enjoy being. Allow your mind to focus on that experience. Expand and enjoy the daydream by adding more and more detail or replacing one great scene with another as soon as the first one begins to fade. Do your best to hold a positive focus for at least one minute.
3. Now open your eyes gently and notice how you feel.
4. How do you feel now?
5. Most likely, you will notice that you feel better now than you did before you closed your eyes.
How did it work for you?
Why do you feel better?
You feel better because it feels really good to think about or focus your attention on something that you love. You have connected to your source and have created a little bit of paradise inside your mind.
Now you have a taste of Paradise Mind.
Creating with Paradise Mind
What if you inject your heart's desire for a dream game into that highly creative "feel good" milieu (AKA Paradise Mind)? What if you purposefully link Paradise Mind and your heart's desire?
Your dream game would manifest quickly and easily.
This is creation at its best!
You can do this by purposefully focusing on something that you love, experiencing good feelings and then gently expanding your focus to include your dream game while still maintaining that good feeling state.
The more often you practice deliberately focusing your attention and feeling good, the more adept you become at doing so. It's like learning to ride a bicycle. The better you learn to ride, the more confidently, faster and more easily you will go.
Using Paradise Mind, creating the golf game of your dreams is fast, fun and thoroughly enjoyable. It makes life feel like a grand adventure.
If not now- when?
I love to play golf. I love the physical beauty of the courses on Maui. I love the companionship of my golfing buddies. I love the strategy and level of skill that the game requires. Most of all, I love the way it teaches me to stay in the zone and aligned with wellbeing no matter what! (Yes, even after the shot that bounces off of three palm trees and nearly takes out one of my fellow players you really can still feel good.) In short, golf is one of the best ways I've learned to maintain my focus and feel good no matter what.
I love the idea of seeing golf courses populated by happy, skillful and confident golfers. What a great picture!
We are non-physical energy living in a physical world in a physical body. Our physical bodies are the vehicle through which we express much of who we are. Assuming you have some level of technical skill, why not create a game that is as physically amazing as the essence of who you really are?
You could begin today. After all, if not now- when?
All you need to do is to begin to focus on your desire and feel good about it. Never mind "what is"- go ahead and dream, imagine, and create! Simply allow yourself to begin to envision your dream game.
What do you want your dream game to look like?
What do you want your dream game to feel like?
What do you want to be able to do as part of your dream game?
Allow your imagination to generate pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, and feelings that are consistent with and support your dream game. Engage in this sort of daydream, with or without the support of tools, as often and for as long a period of time as it feels good to you.
Most people create new habits and beliefs in about 30 days or so. Beliefs are simply thoughts that we think over and over again. Habits are nothing more than actions we take over and over again. If you focus on these new ideas while feeling good for 30 days or more, you will create new beliefs and habits around your golf game. When your inner mind adopts these new beliefs and habits about your game, your game body will begin to change. It is inevitable.
Most likely, you will feel good about yourself and your game and be inspired to take actions that are supportive of your game. You may feel like spending more time at the range. You may feel like practicing on the putting green more often. You may even feel like increasing your flexibility training program to enhance the length of your drives.
Consistent & Habitual "As If" Experience
One of the key ideas about creating the golf game of your dreams is alignment. Being fully aligned with the game of your dreams means that every part of you and all of the pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, actions, habits and feelings you experience are consistent with and supportive of your dream game.
By listening to the hypnosis recordings, you will have the inner "feel good" experience of your dream game"as if" it has already manifested in your life. If you listen on a consistent basis (e.g. every evening before bed) for about the amount of time it takes to develop new habits (e.g. 30 days), that inner "as if" experience of your dream game will become a consistent habit. You will become aligned with the golf game of your dreams.
Once you are fully aligned, your outer world will begin to shift to mirror your inner state. In time and with continued focus, your dream game will manifest in the world of form.
What You Focus on Flourishes
In order to create your dream game, all you need to do is focus upon and come into full alignment with what you want, and feel good while doing so. The two best phrases I've ever heard about creating are:
#1 What you focus on flourishes.
#2 What you resist persists. (Notice that this is really saying the same thing as #1 above.)
What you focus on flourishes means that what you focus on (the pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, feelings, habits and actions) becomes dominant in your life. This is the essence of the Law of Attraction.
In addition, when you focus your attention on what you want, it must feel good to you. No matter "what is", you must enjoy the experience of placing your attention on what you want "as if" your desire is already in existence. When you feel good, you know that you are in alignment with your dream game and are open to allowing it into your experience.
What you resist persists means you must not resist or push against that which you do not want. Resisting is a form of focus, negative focus, but focus none the less.
As a corollary to "What you resist persists.", "Never go down the rabbit hole." To me this means keep your focus on what you want. Whenever you find yourself starting to focus on one of life's potholes, change focus. Never resist but never persist in focusing on what you don't want. Never allow yourself to dwell on what you don't want to the point of actually beginning to go down a dark hole.
Your inner mind does not know words like no or don't or prefixes like un. The inner part of your mind is very child-like and much like a two year old takes language quite literally. In fact, it understands language by creating pictures for the words offered and then links those pictures together like those old frame-by-frame animations that tell a story.
Your inner mind does not have pictures for stop, not, no, don't, etc. It understands affirmative statements and takes them quite literally.
As a result, when you say, "Don't go in that trap." your inner mind hears "Go in that trap!"
For the sake of your inner mind, it is useful to frame everything that you desire in the affirmative, focus on what you want and feel good about it "as if" it already exists. You may enhance your efforts by making the ideas presented as attractive as possible by adding delicious sensory imagery and yummy feelings.
It is key to avoid thinking thoughts that oppose your desire. But how is it possible to not think a thought?
It's not!
Since it is impossible to not to think a thought, how can you stop resisting or pushing against that which you do not want?
It is very simple. You may replace the undesired thought with something that you want.
Once again, think of a two or three year old child. Which works better when you want to get them to change their behavior? Does an adamant command like "Stop playing with that tea cup." work well? Or is it more successful and enjoyable to re-direct their focus to something attractive by saying something like "Wow, look at the beautiful ball over there. Let's go play with the ball."?
Anyone who has spent time around children as an adult, knows that the latter approach works every time- especially if you make the replacement really attractive. A child offered the suggestion about the ball will happily and easily lose interest in the tea cup and shift all focus toward the ball.
The same thing is true for your inner mind. Simply find an attractive replacement for whatever it is that you want to replace.
Practically speaking, how can you use this replacement strategy? If I say "sand trap" and then ask you not to think about a sand trap, you will be hard pressed to keep that sand trap from your mind. You simply cannot not think a thought.
However, you can choose to focus on something else and replace the thought of "sand trap" with another idea- say "big juicy green". Since your mind can only hold onto ONLY one thought at a time, it will center on "big juicy green" and all thoughts of that sand trap (oops- I brought it to mind again) will disappear.
If you happen to make the replacement thought really yummy, it will totally grab your attention.
Run the Experiment!
I was trained as a scientist. I was taught that every hypothesis must be subjected to tests that measure and quantify variables in a purely objective way to either support or disprove the original idea.
I have learned that many things in this world that are more "real" than the chair I sit upon cannot be measured (yet) by purely objective or conventional means. That does not mean that they are not valid. It simply means that other forms of measurement must be utilized.
Feelings provide us with a wonderful way to "measure" our experience. When you feel good, you are in harmony with your desire and in alignment with who you really are. When you feel lousy, you are out of whack, separated from who you really are and far away from your desires.
Your physical body responds to these feelings and provides even more information. For the most part, these physical responses are involuntary or outside the realm of conscious control. Yet, they provide another form of measurement.
When you feel happy, your mouth may curve into a smile and your eyes may twinkle without your conscious awareness. When someone you find attractive brushes against your arm, your face may flush and you may feel a physical tingle of excitement. When you feel excited about something, your solar plexus may have that fluttery elevator sort of feeling. When something touches the very core of your being and registers as true, you may suddenly get goose bumps.
For just a moment, think about all of the ways that your body responds automatically to your feelings. How does your body respond when someone offers you a compliment and you are able to receive it? What happens when you meet someone you find attractive? What happens to your physical body when you receive an unexpected and pleasant surprise? What happens when someone shares an idea with you that feels universally true and registers a deeply remembered yes inside of you?
Since experience is the most wonderful teacher of all, I have created little experiments all throughout this web site that will allow you to experience the ideas offered. I invite you to "run the experiment" and see if what I suggest works for you.
The Great Deliberate Focus & Feeling Experiment
I love to run my own experiments and demonstrate to myself that something works. If you are so inclined, prove to yourself that deliberate focus coupled with a feeling attracts or creates a particular life experience. Demonstrate to yourself that what you focus on and how you feel about it makes all the difference in the world.
The Great Deliberate Focus & Feeling Experiment
If you live in a volatile or dangerous community with unsafe grocery stores, please skip this experiment.
1. Go to a nearby grocery store.
2. Sitting in your parked car on a bench outside of the store, begin to focus on something that makes you angry. Allow the anger to build by continuing to talk to yourself in a way that really gets you bent out of shape.
3. Enter the grocery store and notice what transpires.
4. Have the full experience. Shop, enter the checkout line (even if you only buy a pack of gum) and then exit the store.
5. What happened? Was it a pleasant experience for you? Most likely you noticed that your experience in the store was very much a match with the feeling state you had when you entered the store.
6. While back outside, focus on something that feels really good to you. Allow the feeling of love and appreciation for whatever you have chosen to focus on build and grow. Allow yourself to fully experience an elevated feeling state.
7. Re-enter the same grocery store. Notice what transpires.
8. Have the full experience. Shop, enter the checkout line (even if you only buy a pack of gum) and then exit the store.
9. What happened? Was it a pleasant experience for you? Most likely you noticed that your experience in the store was very much a match with the feeling state you had when you entered the store.
On another day, reverse the experiences just to prove to yourself that it nothing to do with temporal flow.
How did it work for you?
The Great Thought Replacement Experiment
If you are so inclined, prove to yourself that thought replacement works by running your own experiment. Demonstrate to yourself that you although you cannot not think a thought, you can replace one thought with another.
The Great Thought Replacement Experiment
Note: If you have an allergy to pet dander, please skip this experiment.
1. Think "pink elephant".
2. Now try not to think "pink elephant" - not pink elephant, no pink elephant, stop pink elephant, no pink elephant, etc.
3. Does it work for you? Can you not think "pink elephant"?
4. Now replace the thought of pink elephant with another thought- say "soft, furry, cute little puppy dog".
5. Focus on "soft, furry, cute little puppy dog".
6. ...soft, furry, cute little puppy dog...
7. ...soft, furry, cute little puppy dog...
8. Did you think of you know what? (OOPS... I probably triggered that thought again.)
How did it work for you?
Hypnosis, Hypnosis, Hypnosis
I had my first direct experience with the amazing power of hypnosis during the birth of my second child. In contrast to my first highly medicated labor and birthing experience, my second child was born naturally, peacefully, comfortably and easily using hypnosis. The experience was truly incredible. I loved and enjoyed it so much that I would gladly do it again. It was one of the highlights of my life.
After that, I figured that if I could feel that good while laboring and birthing an 8.5 lb baby, hypnosis was pretty powerful and could probably allow me to focus on my heart's desire and feel good no matter what. (More on my story.)
Hypnosis provides at least 3 incredible benefits:
BENEFIT #1: Hypnosis is the best know tool for focusing on what you want and feeling good.
Hypnosis is a great tool for focusing on what you want. It is the best method I've found to focus on what you want from stance of a non-resistance and feel good. Even if you are unable to consciously focus on your heart's desire and feel good or imagine it "as if" it is already in existence, you will be able to do so while in a hypnotic state. Like training wheels for a bike, taking advantage of the hypnotic state makes thinking about what you want and feeling good about it very easy.
BENEFIT #2: Hypnosis is a great tool for effecting replacement of old outmoded ideas.
Hypnosis provides a fabulous opportunity for resistance-free replacement. It provides a ready means of allowing you to replace any pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, actions, habits, and/or feelings that are misaligned with those that are fully aligned with your heart's desire.
BENEFIT #3: Hypnosis allows you to relax and feel good!
Hypnosis feels really good. Your brain actually slows down a bit and allows you to feel more at peace. You get to take a little mental holiday, relax and focus your attention on good feeling things. You re-emerge from a session (or even an 8 hour labor and birthing) feeling relaxed, refreshed and filled with a sense that all is well.
Your inner (subconscious) mind is the part of you that generates feelings from pictures, words, thoughts and experiences, and leads you to think and act in accordance with your beliefs. It is the part of your mind that creates habits and inspires you to action. It is the source of your creativity. It is also the bridge to the infinite power of superconscious mind- that which you may call wellbeing, God, Source, infinite intelligence, etc.
Hypnosis is the best known tool for communicating with your inner mind and using it wisely. It is not a form of mind control, although many of my clients wish it was. It is not sleep although you do pass through the hypnotic state just before you drift off to sleep.
Hypnosis is an easy way to relax into a non-resistant and good feeling place, and focus on what you want. Using hypnosis, you can actually create the habit of focusing on your heart's desire in a positive and beneficial way.
Shifting Your FocusWhen you're game is off, it can be a stretch to shift your focus to what you want and feel good about it "as if" it is already in existence. That's where Paradise Mind and Body CD hypnosis recordings like Create Great Golf come into play.
Create Great Golf takes you to a relaxed, non-resistant, good feeling state (Paradise Mind) and guides you to focus on your dream game for a period of time in a number of different ways and from a variety of perspectives. Since you are already relaxed, non-resistant, feeling good and working with your imagination, it is very easy to imagine your desire "as if" it is already in existence. The embedded suggestions are permissive, gentle and offered in such a way that you get to adjust your alignment and beliefs as quickly or slowly as you choose. As a result, your relaxed, non-resistant, good feeling state is maintained throughout the process.
By listening to Create Great Golf, you develop the habit of focusing on your dream game in a supportive way, feel good about it, and imagine life "as if" you already play great golf. In addition, you will be inspired to use the outer world tools that support your inner vision.
You will find yourself using the tools offered on this website and supported in the recordings (e.g. Practicing Love and Appreciation, Talking Yourself Back Into Harmony, Celebrating Your Heart's Desire, and Your Golden Treasure Box) in your ordinary fully conscious state.
Unique Hypnosis Recordings from
Paradise Mind and Body
The tools used, the self-directed, stepwise alignment process, and attitude of gratitude offered make Paradise Mind and Body recordings unique in the world of hypnosis CDs. (Sample recording.)
Unlike any other recordings, Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis recordings suggest that you focus on what you want and allow you to gradually ratchet up your consciousness from wherever you are to your desired state step-by-step in a totally believable fashion.
The simple fact is that most people can't quantum leap from double bogey golf to scratch golf in one fell swoop. However, anyone can retrain their mind and come into full alignment with a great game in a step-by-step fashion.
Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs. - Henry Ford When a suggestion like "I am a great golfer." is made and you know that you can't drive the ball more than 150 yards, the small part of your conscious mind listening to a hypnosis recording may reject the suggestion and become resistant. When resistance kicks in, it's like trying to move forward with the brakes on.
However, if you are offered a choice of suggestions ranging from those that are 100% believable no matter what your current situation (like "I love the idea of playing great golf.") to those that express the fullness of your desire ("I am a great golfer. "), you can line up at your own personal speed and build your positive body consciousness in a way and at a pace that suits you best.
In addition, since you will develop a very strong inner sense that your creation is already done, you will find yourself giving thanks. Don't you always give thanks after you receive something?
Each time you listen to Create Great Golf, your positive game consciousness will increase. You will line up with (begin to believe) more and more of the suggestions offered. After about a month, you may be fully aligned with all of the ideas and suggestions including those like "I play great golf." You will have created a habit of focusing upon your heart's desire- a great game of golf, feel good about it and be able to envision your life "as if" you already play the golf of your dreams.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Gradual Alignment- Stepwise Creation
In just the same way that you gradually come into full alignment using Paradise Mind and Body's unique hypnosis recordings, it is very beneficial for you to create your heart's desire in a step-wise fashion. For most people, stepwise creation is far easier, more believable and more immediately certain than "all at once" creation of your heart's desire.
Simply begin with where you are and envision the next step on the journey to your desire "as if" it were already in existence. Once you arrive at that step, envision and move toward the next step. And so on and so forth.
For example, if you want to be a scratch golfer, you could either create your desire "all at once" or create it as the result of a number of small, totally doable steps.
Which feels easier and more certain to you? To envision being a scratch golfer and manifest a scratch game as the next step or to envision your end desire as a series of readily available steps? In other words, what if you created a scratch game in a step-wise fashion by first envisioning and then manifesting a game that was 5% better, then one that was 10% better, then one that was 15% better, etc. and then envisioning and manifesting a scratch game?
For most people, it is far easier to create in a step-wise fashion than it is to create in one fell swoop. Remember, "Nothing is particularly difficult if you break it into small jobs." (Henry Ford).
Creating the Golf of Your Dreams
What if you want to play great golf?
If you want to play the game of your dreams, begin to envision your dream game. Imagine yourself as already playing the game you desire and feel good about it. In your mind's eye, experience life "as if" you were already playing that dream game and enjoy the experience.
Think the words "AS IF" and imagine what you desire "as if" it is already in existence.
Replace any pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, actions, habits and/or feelings that oppose your desire for a dream game with those that support it.
PICTURES
This means that you will replace pictures in your mind like an image of yourself slamming the cup with your putter with pictures that show you standing 20 yards away from the hole smiling with the ball in the cup even though the green was fast, downhill and had an odd break.
WORDS
This means that you will replace words in your vocabulary like bogey, topped, worm burner, and duffer with words like birdie, solid, good trajectory, and pro.
THOUGHTS
This means that you will replace thoughts like "I'm not sure I can drive the ball past over the water. That's a heck of a carry." with something like "Cool hazard. I think I'll put the ball right there."
BELIEFS
This means that you will replace beliefs like "I'll never break 90." with beliefs like "I can play beautifully and score well any time that I choose."
EXPERIENCES
This means that you will replace experiences like not being able to putt to save your life with experiences like getting one or two putts on every hole.
ACTIONS
This means that you will replace actions like staying home and moping after a bad round with actions like heading to the driving range for a little more fun.
HABITS
This means that you will replace habits like looking at the toughest hole on the course and losing confidence with habits like looking forward to each and every hole no matter what.
FEELINGS
This means that you will replace feelings like a sense of dread when its time to head to the tee and you have an audience with feelings of eager anticipation and confidence as you approach your drive.

#1:Paradise
Mind and Body's Hypnosis CDs |
Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings for golf provide you with opportunities to relax and focus on the game of your dreams from a number of different perspectives in a number of different ways while feeling good (Paradise Mind). They invite you to imagine your dream game "as if" it is already in existence and feel so good about it that you actually begin saying "thank you" "as if" it already exists. Listening to these recordings enables you to replace misaligned pictures, words, thoughts, beliefs, experiences, feelings and habits with those that are in harmony with your dream game, and be inspired to engage in actions that support the creation of the golf game of your dreams. In time, your outer world will begin to match your inner "as if" experience. Step-by-step-by-step, your dream game will come into being.
When you're a duffer that can't sink a putt or hit your way out of a trap to save your life, it can be a stretch to shift your focus to what you want and feel good about it. That's why hypnosis is so important. Like training wheels for a bike, taking advantage of the hypnotic state makes thinking about what you want and feeling good about it very easy. Simply put, hypnosis allows you to relax into a relatively non-resistant state of wellbeing, communicate directly with your subconscious mind, and deliberately focus on your heart's desire.
Listening to recordings like Create Great Golf makes it easy for you to focus on the body of your dreams and feel good about it. Create Great Golf takes you to a relaxed, non-resistant, good feeling state (Paradise Mind) and guides you to focus on the game you desire for a period of time in a number of different ways and from a variety of perspectives. The embedded suggestions are permissive, gentle and offered in such a way that you get to adjust your alignment and beliefs as quickly or slowly as you choose. As a result, your relaxed, non-resistant, good feeling state is maintained throughout the process.
The self-directed, stepwise alignment process offered by Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis recordings makes them unique in the world of hypnosis CDs. Each time you listen to a Create Great Golf recording, your positive game consciousness will increase. You will line up with (begin to believe) more and more of the suggestions offered. After about a month, you may be fully aligned with all of the ideas and suggestions including those like "I play great golf." You will create the habit of focusing upon your heart's desire and feel good about it.
After listening for a time, you will find yourself naturally loving and appreciating "what is". Whenever you notice a thought or a feeling about your game that is not aligned and doesn't feel good, you will find yourself stopping for a moment and re-aligning with your heart's desire. You will start talking to yourself from wherever you are and gently begin to focus on better feeling thoughts about golf. You will begin to celebrate the creation of your dream game. Your whole point of focus will shift to focus on feeling good about the golf game you desire and deserve.
Quickly and easily, you will create great golf using hypnosis and the power of your mind.
Treating Yourself Well
When you have been experiencing a particular kind of result on the course (e.g. a nasty and persistent hook) for some time, you may feel frustrated, angry, depressed or powerless about "what is". These feelings indicate that you are in resistance about "what is". Sometimes people feel so bad that they even beat up on themselves for not being in a different place. Self abuse serves no one.
I read the following in a little book many years ago. After taking the idea to heart, I found that it created a major shift in my life. Try saying it to yourself and see what happens for you.
![]() |
“The only thing that gets better by being beaten is a rug.”
Aside from eggs, the only things that may get better by being beaten are rugs. Sometimes I give clients a mini rug or ask them to put an imaginary rug in their pockets. I suggest that any time they find that they are abusing themselves, they take out the rug and beat it instead. After a quick shake of the rug, I suggest that they use the shake as a cue to start loving and appreciating themselves.
This silly little process really works. It makes them smile and takes all of the sting out of the experience. They actually create the habit of treating themselves with love and respect.
If you really take this idea to heart, you'll notice any time you start to abuse yourself physically, emotionally, etc., you'll take out your rug, give it a shake, chuckle or smile and then start loving yourself more. You'll create the habit of treating yourself better.
Releasing Resistance by Practicing Love and Appreciation
There is a wonderful little book written and illustrated by some Zen Buddhists in the Bay Area called The Key and the Name of the Key is Willingness. Change is inevitable. The key to changing your life in a positive direction is willingness.
What is the opposite of willingness? Resistance.
“What you resist persists.”
Whatever you resist will remain in your life. It isn’t that things stay the same. Rather, you constantly re-create that which you resist. (It makes it seem like things are staying the same.) This is because resistance is a form of focus- negative focus but focus nonetheless. If you are having a particular experience and resist (focus on) it, that experience will remain in your life. If you want to change your experience, you must stop resisting “what is” and come to peace with your current situation.
At first, many people find this idea unpalatable. It seems to contradict logic. For example, how can you become a scratch golfer if you accept being a duffer? Where is the impetuous to move forward in a new way if you’re at peace with where you are?
Just as you release the parking brake before you drive your car, you must release your resistance around your current golf game before you can move toward what you want. Releasing resistance or embracing “what is” fully engages your willingness to move forward.
The best method I’ve found for releasing resistance is “Practicing Love and Appreciation”. I never cease to be amazed at how such a simple thing has such a profound effect.
As a human being, love and appreciation are some of the most creative feeling states to which you have access. When you love and appreciate something, it comes to life. I firmly believe that everything begins with gratitude.
What if you were to begin to love and appreciate what you already have or have had? What if you made a ritual of this practice? What if you sat down each evening just before bed and just before going through your Golden Treasure Box and listening to your favorite Paradise Mind and Body hypnosis CD golf recording and made a list of all the things you appreciate about the what you already have the aligns with your dream golf?
For example, what if you practiced love and appreciation about the golf game you already have? Even in the most awkward of situations, you can find something to love and appreciate. It may start out a little slow and rocky but just stick with it for a little while and it will get easier and easier. You will feel better and better as the resistance lifts.
Although it is most useful for you to develop your own list of things you appreciate about your game, please feel free to use any of those provided below. Your list of appreciations might look something like this:
I am so thankful to be able to play golf.
I am grateful to have a set of clubs.
I love having the time to be able to play a round.
I am grateful for my experience with the game. It serves me well.
I am thankful for all the great drives I've had.
I am grateful for all the putts I've sunk.
I am thankful for the friendships I've created on the course.
I am so thankful to be able to play on such a beautiful course.
I am grateful that the wind held off until we were done playing.
The greens were in great shape. I am grateful for well-kept greens.
The traps made the game really interesting.
I so enjoyed the people I played with.
I am grateful for my 2nd shot on the 17th hole. It was great.
My putt on 15 was amazing.
My tee shot on the 4th hole was great.
Etc.
Just start where you are and look for all of the things that you may appreciate about your game- no matter how trivial they may seem. It really will get easier and easier and better and better. Keep going until you feel a shift.
I've become so enamored with the process of practicing love and appreciation that I use it all the time. Here's a trivial but telling example.
Not long ago, I was in a conference room and noticed a water spot on the wall. It triggered a thought like "that's ugly- how tacky"and a corresponding feeling that shifted me out of wellbeing into a slightly irritated feeling state. I noticed that I also began to become irritated with the speaker, the temperature of the air, the stuffiness of the room, etc.
Instead of staying there, I decided to love and appreciate all that I could about that wall. It went like something like this.
"That is an ugly water spot on the wall. But look at that wallpaper. Wow, I didn't notice that before. It is beautiful. It reminds me of that amazing movie I saw last week about the Renaissance. That paper really looks rich and elegant. The colors are incredible- subtle yet deep and harmonious. There's even an overlaying stripe. And look at that molding. What gorgeous molding. Etc."
My feeling state went from irritated back into wellbeing. Thoughts of the spot all but vanished. My whole perception of the speaker, the air quality, and the room also shifted. Just like that! It really works.
The trivial nature of this example illustrates an important point. If at any time you find any of the experiments, processes or tools offered are just a little too difficult for you to practice on your most heart-felt desire, pick something trivial to work with instead. Sometimes it is easier to practice on simple things (like a water spot on the wall) first and build your skills. Just like you probably learned to read picture books before novels, you may easily learn and become adept at the art of deliberately loving and appreciating by focusing on something simple first.
If you are so inclined, prove to yourself how practicing love and appreciation of something can shift your feeling state around that topic. Run a little experiment and see if Practicing Love and Appreciation about what you want makes you feel better. See if what I am suggesting is true for you.
The Love and Appreciation Experiment
You can run this experiment any time you choose and have 2-10 minutes to focus on whatever topic feels appropriate to you. It is particularly useful to engage in this process when you feel irritated, powerless or even venomous about something.
1. Pick a topic to love and appreciate- someone, some thing, or some place. (Yes, you can and would be greatly benefited by choosing a topic, say prosperity, that feels challenging to you in this moment. However, many people benefit by first picking something easy and then building up to a topic that is more challenging. You decide what works for you.)
2. Notice how you feel about whatever you have chosen to love and appreciate.
3. Now just begin to notice what you love and appreciate about that topic. Write it down if it feels good to you.
4. Notice all of the things that you love and appreciate about that topic.
5. Keep going.
6. Keep going.
7. Keep going.
8. Notice that it gets easier and easier to find something to appreciate about that topic. Notice also that the love and appreciation you feel for that topic begins to extend to other things.
9. Now, notice how you feel about the original topic.
10. If you so desire, continue the practice for a number of days or weeks or whatever works for you.
11. Notice how your perception of and your interaction with that topic change for the better.
How did it work for you?
It may start out a little rocky or feel a little forced at first but over time, it will get better and better and better and easier and easier and easier.
Sometimes people are afraid to love and appreciate what they have for fear of maintaining it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Since what you resist PERSISTS, it is valuable for you to make peace with what is. Making peace is the only way for you to move forward. Since what you focus on FLOURISHES, the positive focus of love and appreciation allows whatever you place your attention on to grow and expand or be enhanced for the better.

Make a screen saver!
Take a poster board, cover it with images (like those from the picture party) as well as your favorite juicy words, photograph it (digitally) and turn it into a screen saver for your computer. Feel free to replace the head of your favorite golfer with a picture of your own head!

Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will help you to create new and improved thoughts that support the creation of great golf.
In further support, you can create your own thoughts about your heart's desire in any way that feels good to you. You may speak of your desire (to yourself or another supportive person), create a story about it, write about it in a letter, your journal or on pages that are placed in your Golden Treasure Box, create affirmations that support it, etc.
Affirmations are one of the most useful ways to alter your thoughts and deliberately input thoughts that align with your heart's desire. Affirmations are simply positive statements about your desire that often begin with the words "I am".

| Whether you believe you can do a thing or not, you are right. | - Henry Ford |
Beliefs are nothing more than thoughts that you think over and over again. Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will help you to create the beliefs you want about your heart's desire. In addition, the thoughts that you have deliberately begun to think over and over again again about your heart's desire will form the basis of your new belief system.
In further support, you may make a list of the beliefs you'd like to hold about your heart's desire. You can then try the Belief Extension Process outlined below.
1. Make a list of the beliefs that you'd like to have about your desired golf game.
2. When you can be apart from the outer world for a few minutes, pick one belief to focus upon.
3. Close your eyes, relax and allow yourself to imagine what your life would look like if the belief you've chosen were actually true.
4. Allow your mind to fully flesh out the details of your experience assuming that the selected belief is true.
5. Now open your eyes.
6. Whenever you can safely close your eyes and be apart from the outer world, re-imagine this experience.
Note, this process may enable you to develop an awareness of gaps between what you'd like to believe and what you actually believe. Just developing this awareness will go a long way toward shifting any outmoded beliefs with those that you desire. The rest of the shift will occur with time and focus.
Although it is incredibly valuable for you to create your own list of beliefs for your own heart's desire, please feel free to select or alter any of the ones provided. Once you create or decide which beliefs to hold, you may write them down on paper, record them in your journal and/or make beautiful little cards for your Golden Treasure Box, and then use the Belief Extension Process to your heart's content.

Paradise Mind and Body's hypnosis CD recordings will go a long way toward helping you create a whole new set of positive and uplifted feelings in support of creating your dream game. Since words, pictures, thoughts and beliefs evoke feelings, the efforts you've put into these areas will pay off handsomely when it comes to how you feel about your golf game.
In further support, you may create new feelings about your lifestyle in any way that feels good to you. The Feeling Linkage Process outlined below is a great way to create new feelings about your golf game.
1. Make a list of the feelings you'd like to have about your dream game.
2. When you can be apart from the outer world for a new minutes, pick one feeling to focus upon.
3. Close your eyes, relax and allow yourself to imagine or remember an image or experience that evokes the feeling you have selected. Your previous experience of that feeling does not have to be associated with creating your dream game. Simply find a time when you experienced that feeling and play it up by re-imagining the original experience.
4. Allow yourself to expand the vision. Add detail or select another image or experience to increase the intensity of the feeling you have selected.
5. Stay focused on the feeling until you actually experience the feeling very clearly.
6. Now gradually bring your dream game into the picture.
7. Blanket or infuse it with the feeling you have brought forth.
8. In your mind's eye, allow the feeling and the desire to become linked. Sit with this for a short time.
9. Now open your eyes.
10. Whenever you feel prompted and can safely do so, close your eyes for a moment and re-imagine this experience of your dream game enveloped and or infused with the feeling you have chosen.

Although I have used this process for a long time, the Abraham materials (see Thank You) demonstrate this idea better than any other source. Their examples have helped me to develop a whole new level of mastery and comfort with the technique. For this, I am eternally grateful.
Once you have made peace with where you are, you will begin to move toward what you want. Since you will create the habit of linking good feelings to that which you desire, any time you experience misalignment, you will notice it! You will notice a yucky feeling.
Yucky feelings are nothing more than signals that you're out of tune with your desire. Think of "negative feelings" as a red flags waving in front of you, signaling you to shift your thoughts to create better thoughts and feelings about what you want.
Whenever you notice a thought or a feeling that is out of whack and doesn't feel good, you can stop for a moment and talk yourself back into harmony. The hypnosis recordings will support you in doing so.
For example, if you notice a bad feeling in your gut and trace it back to the the thought "I can't hit the ball for beans.", stop for a moment and begin talking to yourself for a few minutes in a manner that allows you to re-align your consciousness in a better way. You might say things like this:
I know that was a really lousy shot but I've made a lot of good shots in the past and I can make one now.
That shot may have been short but it really was well aimed.
I am pretty good at hitting the ball.
Most of the time I make good shots.
Somehow, I've always been able to recover from an awkward lie.
I can make a good shot now if I want to.
Odd shots often inspire me.
That shot looks pretty darn interesting.
I bet I can hit it right over there.
I love that idea.
It feels light and free and that makes me feel good.
Just thinking in this way makes me feel better.
Somehow, the idea of hitting the bal just where I want feels possible to me now.
Etc.
If you are so inclined, go ahead and try talking yourself back into harmony with playing great golf.
The Talking Yourself Back Into Harmony Experiment
1. Notice where you are with respect to your game in this particular moment.
2. Starting wherever you are, make a statement that reflects the essence of thought and feelings you have right now about your golf game.
3. Now simply begin to talk to yourself in such a way that you expand and uplift your focus on your game just enough to feel a little better. The first step may seem awkward but just utter words that feel slightly better than the ones of the original statement.
4. Continue to talk to yourself about your game. Ensure that the statements you make are believable to you and that each statement feels at least as good as and perhaps even better than the last.
