Practicing the Fine Art of Appreciation
On my last birthday, a dear friend brought a bag of beads to my party and asked everyone in attendance to share what they most appreciated about me as they strung a bead on a string. I felt very honored and at the end of the evening, I had a very beautiful and most powerful necklace.
This beading ritual can be used to appreciate anyone or anything, and provides a wonderful way for you to support the creation of your heart's desire. Use each bead to appreciate something about whatever your heart desires.
Start simply by creating a bracelet of appreciation- one one bead at a time. Find one thing to appreciate about your heart's desire and string one bead to anchor that appreciation. Then find another, and another, and another.
As you continue to bead, gratitude will begin to flow and it will easier and easier to find things to appreciate. In a very short time, you will have enhanced your level of appreciation and created a tangible reminder of just how grateful you are able to be any time you choose to focus on gratitude and appreciation.
We loved this idea so much that we decided to offer a Beads of Appreciation- Seeds of Change kit. Each kit contains all of the materials needed to make a bracelet of appreciation (power cord, beads, Sterling silver charm, etc.), and a book entitled Practicing the Fine Art of Appreciation. Practicing the Fine Art of Appreciation describes the benefits of making peace and appreciating "what is", practical examples for appreciating to create, and detailed step-by step instructions for making a bracelet of appreciation.
